Welcome to the official website for South Bucks Archers, the friendly archery club for Slough and the South Bucks District.

Originally formed and shooting in
Iver Heath, we are affiliated to
the Bucks Archery Association, the Southern
Counties Archery Society and to the Grand National Archery Society (the
governing body for archery in the UK) and we shoot under their rules,
regulations and insurance cover. We are also registered with the
English Field Archery association (EFAA). Catering for all bow-styles,
we are proud to count amongst our members a GNAS qualified Coach, an EFAA qualified instructor, past or present County
Champions and a 2008 UK and Ireland National Field Champion, all of whom are
happy to help and advise new members if required.
Our shooting ground is at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, 1 Langley Road, Slough SL3 7AF where we have use of their large field and sports hall and benefit from secure parking and no public right of access.
In the summer, we meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.00pm and Sunday Mornings from 10.00am. During the winter months, our evening shoots take place in the sports hall, when a small fee is charged per archer to cover the cost of the hire. Winter shooting times are Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and Sundays from 10.00am. The hall is also generally available to us on days with inclement weather.
We do require that you wear soft, non-marking soled shoes when shooting in the hall (squash shoes are ideal) and ask that you bring such shoes to change into. Full changing and toilet facilities are available on site. Guests are welcome to shoot with us on production of their GNAS membership card and the payment of any relevant fees.
Please contact us first so we can expect and welcome you.
We run Beginners' Courses for people who are interested in starting Archery.
Please take a look at the Beginners section.
If you would like further information, please contact the Club Secretary.
Details are in the Committee section.
